Pengaruh Pengalaman Magang dan Internal Locus of Control Terhadap Kesiapan Kerja dengan Self-Efficacy sebagai Variabel Mediasi Pada Mahasiswa Manajemen Angkatan 2022 Universitas Malikussaleh

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Pengalaman Magang dan Internal Locus of Control terhadap Kesiapan Kerja, baik secara langsung maupun melalui Self-efficacy sebagai variabel mediasi, pada mahasiswa Program Studi Manajemen angkatan 2022 Universitas Malikussaleh. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena job mismatch yang menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari sepertiga tenaga kerja muda di Indonesia bekerja pada bidang yang tidak sesuai dengan tingkat pendidikannya, serta belum optimalnya kesiapan kerja lulusan perguruan tinggi dalam menghadapi tuntutan dunia kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling, melibatkan 98 responden yang merupakan mahasiswa aktif Manajemen angkatan 2022 yang telah atau sedang mengikuti kegiatan magang. Data primer dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner berskala Likert dan dianalisis menggunakan metode Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pengalaman Magang dan Internal Locus of Control masing-masing berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kesiapan Kerja maupun terhadap Self-efficacy. Selain itu, Self-efficacy juga terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kesiapan Kerja, serta berperan sebagai mediator parsial (partial mediation) dalam hubungan antara Pengalaman Magang dan Internal Locus of Control terhadap Kesiapan Kerja. Dengan demikian, seluruh hipotesis dalam penelitian ini (H1-H7) dinyatakan diterima. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin baik kualitas pengalaman magang dan semakin tinggi kontrol internal yang dimiliki mahasiswa, semakin tinggi pula keyakinan diri (self-efficacy) dan kesiapan kerja mereka dalam memasuki dunia kerja.
