Analisis Efektivitas Duolingo dan Mondly dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab: Studi Eksperimen di Kalangan Pemula

Abstract

Di dunia globalisasi saat ini, bahasa Arab telah berevolusi dari bahasa keagamaan menjadi bahasa internasional yang signifikan di berbagai bidang seperti akademisi, diplomasi, dan sektor profesional. Studi ini menganalisis efektivitas dua aplikasi pembelajaran bahasa populer, Duolingo dan Mondly, dalam mengajarkan bahasa Arab kepada pemula. Eksperimen ini melibatkan dua kelompok: Kelompok A (Duolingo) dan Kelompok B (Mondly), dengan pra-tes dan pasca-tes yang dilakukan selama periode 12 minggu. Analisis kuantitatif mengungkapkan bahwa Duolingo menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih tinggi dalam penguasaan kosakata (+33,2%) dibandingkan dengan Mondly (+26,7%). Selain itu, Duolingo mengungguli Mondly dalam keterampilan kosakata dan berbicara, sementara Mondly unggul dalam keterampilan mendengarkan. Temuan kualitatif menyoroti struktur gamifikasi Duolingo yang menarik dan praktik percakapan Mondly yang realistis. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun kedua aplikasi menawarkan kekuatan yang unik, pendekatan gabungan dapat menawarkan pengalaman belajar bahasa yang lebih komprehensif. Studi ini memberikan wawasan berharga bagi para pendidik yang mencari metode inovatif dan autentik untuk mengajarkan bahasa Arab di era modern.
