Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi dampak pembayaran digital terhadap pola konsumsi masyarakat perkotaan di Indonesia dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi observasional dan data sekunder. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah perkembangan pesat teknologi finansial, khususnya adopsi e-wallet, mobile banking, dan QRIS yang telah mengubah cara bertransaksi, memperluas inklusi keuangan, namun juga berpotensi mendorong perilaku konsumtif. Data dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber ilmiah, laporan resmi, dan publikasi industri untuk dianalisis menggunakan thematic analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemudahan dan kecepatan transaksi, promosi seperti cashback dan diskon, serta integrasi layanan pay-later memengaruhi peningkatan frekuensi dan volume pembelian, khususnya pembelian impulsif pada kategori non-esensial. Selain itu, terdapat pergeseran gaya hidup konsumsi menuju convenience-driven lifestyle. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pembayaran digital membawa manfaat dalam efisiensi transaksi dan pertumbuhan ekonomi digital, namun juga memerlukan kebijakan literasi keuangan untuk meminimalkan risiko overspending di kalangan masyarakat perkotaan.
